Parkinson's disease is a chronic nervous system disease that occurs as a result of the deterioration of some centers in the brain tissue for reasons unknown today. It is mostly seen in people over the age of 65, and its frequency increases with age.
The main symptoms of the disease are:
Tremors in extremities.
Slowness in movements.
Stiffness in muscles and joints (rigidity).
Posture and gait disturbance.
Rehabilitation should deal with the following main problems:
Improving joint movements.
Eliminating balance and gait defects.
Reducing tremors and stiffness (rigidity) in the arms and legs.
To develop activities related to daily life.
Correcting speech disorders
Improving general fitness
