Vascular Surgery

Arterial Occlusions and Narrowing Due to Atherosclerosis

Medical treatment, regular walking, and exercise programs are used in the treatment of arterial occlusions and narrowing caused by atherosclerosis. When necessary, balloon angioplasty and stent placement procedures can be performed under angiographic guidance. In advanced cases, bypass surgery and endarterectomy procedures may be recommended.

Buerger’s Disease (Thromboangiitis Obliterans)

Buerger’s Disease can be diagnosed through clinical examination as well as MR Angiography and CT Angiography. Smoking cessation is the most important part of treatment. Vasodilator medications, protection of hands and feet from trauma, and surgical or chemical sympathetic blockade methods may also be applied.

Acute Vascular Occlusions (Embolism and Thrombosis)

The primary goal in acute vascular occlusions is to restore blood circulation by removing the clot. Angiographic interventions and clot-dissolving treatments can be performed. In some advanced cases, bypass surgery may also be required.

Diabetic Foot

Delayed wound healing and increased risk of infection in diabetic patients may lead to serious health complications. Vascular surgery techniques aim to improve circulation and support the healing process.

Carotid Artery Diseases

Doppler Ultrasonography, MR Angiography, CT Angiography, and conventional angiography are used in the diagnosis of carotid artery diseases. Treatment options include medical therapy, surgical procedures, and interventional radiological methods.

Aneurysms

Aneurysms are monitored regularly with ultrasonography. If necessary, treatment can be performed through open surgery or minimally invasive endovascular procedures.

Chronic Venous Insufficiency and Varicose Veins

Color Doppler Ultrasonography is used in diagnosis. Treatment options include radiofrequency, laser therapy, sclerotherapy, and surgical procedures when required.

Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolism

Venous Doppler Ultrasonography, contrast-enhanced tomography, and MRI are used for diagnosis. Treatment may include blood thinners, compression stockings, and clot-dissolving interventional procedures in suitable patients.

Varicose Vein Treatment

In addition to conventional surgery, modern interventional treatments such as Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA), Radiofrequency Ablation (RF), mechanical ablation, and foam sclerotherapy are performed. Transdermal laser and radiofrequency applications may also be used for aesthetic purposes.
