There are two types of lymphedema;
1) Primary Lymphedema
There is a congenital lymphatic system defect.
2) Secondary Lymphedema
The most common cases are lymph nodes removed as a result of cancer-related surgeries and radiotherapy applications.

2 phase treatment ;
Phase 1: Discharge phase (daily treatment is provided with a compression bandage)
Phase 2: Protection phase (treatment 2-3 days a week, compression stockings are provided)
4 MAIN COMPONENTS of COMPLEX RELEASE PHYSIOTHERAPY (KBF);
1) SKIN CARE
2)MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE (MLD)
3) COMPRESSION (with bandage or compression stocking)
4) EXERCISE
