We are aware of how valuable the support of loved ones is in the recovery process of our guests receiving treatment at our hospital. The policies we implement for the comfort of our companions and the continuity of hospital order are specified below:
1. Necessity and Approval of the Companion
- At our hospital, the need for a companion is determined by the relevant physician or responsible nurse according to the patient's medical condition.
- Unless there is a medical necessity or obstacle, one (1) companion is permitted to stay with our patients.
2. Companion Card and Security
- Our companions are given a "Companion Card" to use during their stay at our hospital.
- For security reasons, it is mandatory to carry this card visibly within the hospital and to return it to the relevant unit when leaving the hospital.
3. Companion Rules and Responsibilities
- Peace and Order: Our companions must not make noise that would disturb the peace of other patients, watch television loudly, or speak loudly on the phone inside the room.
- Medical Intervention: Companions must not give the patient any food, drink, or medication without the approval of the doctor or nurse. Additionally, it is essential not to interfere with medical devices.
- Hygiene: In order to prevent hospital infections, companions must pay attention to hand hygiene and take into account the hygiene warnings of the hospital staff.
- Attire and Order: Companions are expected to choose clothing appropriate for the hospital environment and maintain the order of the room.
4. Services and Facilities
- Nutrition: Meals prepared by our hospital kitchen for our companions (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are served through our room service.
- Accommodation: In our patient rooms, there is a specially designed companion chair/bed for our companions to rest.
- Internet: Free Wi-Fi service is provided throughout our hospital for the use of our companions.
5. Companion Restrictions in Special Units
- Intensive Care Units: Due to sterilization and patient safety, companions are not allowed in intensive care units. Information about patients in these units is provided at times determined by the physicians.
- Surgery Process: Our companions are requested to stay in the waiting areas designated for them during the surgery.
6. Companion Change
- Companion changes should be made without disrupting hospital order, preferably during visiting hours. During the change, the new companion must inform the service nurse.
